Koh Kai Nai
Koh Kai Nai is a stunning beach for snorkeling and sunbathing
It's part of a pair of islands found one third of the way from Loh Jak, Koh Yao Yai and Phuket. It's brother island Koh Kai Nog is also spectacular, but as it is larger, tends to be frequented more by speedboats.
The best way to Koh Kai Nai is by longtail. Take a boat out there at 8 A.M and you get to bathe one of the most awesome beach islands in the area alone. Grab some mask and fins and head out the West side of the island.
The island is blessed with some relatively untouched coral life. But be warned the best stuff is 100 meters out. If you are not feeling the most energetic, ask the captain to give you a lift to the Northwest reef, drift southwards taking in the best of the massive barrel sponges and Black-tip reef sharks, and get picked up in time for lunch. After 1pm the speed boats from the mainland start to intrude, and it's best calling it a day.
